July 4th is a time to celebrate our independence in a Big way – with lots of fireworks and fun activities. We’ve gathered a selection of events from around the state. Many are free – just click on the name of the town or event for more details. Then get out there and celebrate the 4th – Safely!
WEDNESDAY, JULY 3rd, 2019:
ANTHEM – Anthem Community Park; 41702 N. Gavilan Peak Pkwy; 6 pm – 10 pm
Rides, slides, inflatables, food, music, dancing, and fireworks. Free admission and parking.
Purchase an “All you can Ride/Bounce” bracelet in June for $15 at the Community Center or Civic Building. Price goes up to $20 the day of the event and will only be available at the park on July 3rd, beginning at 5:30 pm
APACHE JUNCTION – Apache Junction High School; 2525 S. Ironwood Drive; 6 – 8:30 pm
FREE watermelon starting at 6 pm, until it’s gone. Water games, inflatables; Bicycle, Tricycle & Wagon mini Float contest; food booths. Fireworks start at 8:30 pm.
PEORIA – Pleasant Harbor Marina; 40202 N. 87th Ave; Peoria 3:00 – 11:00 pm
Food trucks, live band, free activities for the kids. Fireworks begin at 9 pm. Entrance fee $20/vehicle.
THURSDAY, JULY 4th, 2019:
AVONDALE – Water Palooza 2019; 12325 W. McDowell Road; 10 am – 1 pm
FREE food while supplies last and family-friendly activities for kids of all ages.
BUCKEYE – Youngker High School; 3000 S. Apache Rd; 6-9:30 pm
Fun activities for the whole family, all-American eats, and treats, and live entertainment. Spectacular fireworks begin at 9 pm.
CHANDLER – Tumbleweed Park; 2250 S. McQueen Road; 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Activities and attractions: Coloring station; photo booth; red white and blue giveaways; horseshoes; sand volleyball; food vendors; live entertainment.
Fireworks at 9 pm. NO fireworks allowed in the park or parking lot.
Free admission; parking $5/vehicle, Cash only.
Parade, starting corner Elm & Beaver; Flagstaff; Time TBA (previous years have been 9 – 11 am)
JULY 4th – A Flag Fourth Concert; Pepsi Amphitheater; Tuthill County Park; 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop. 2 – 4 pm
Bring the kids and a blanket and relax under the Ponderosa pines. Gates open at 2 pm, music begins at 2:15 with guest performers. Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra concert begins at 3 pm. Admission is FREE; may be a charge for some parking areas.
JULY 4th – 6th – Flagstaff Festival in the Pines; Fort Tuthill County Fairgrounds; 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop
100+ Artists and vendors; 2 stages with live music; beer and wine garden; a variety of international food; and a large kids’ zone with activities, crafts and more.
$10 admission, children 12 and under Free. Tickets can be purchased online. Pet friendly!
FLORENCE – Aquatic Center; 174 West 1st Street; noon – 5 pm; Heritage Park; 600 N. Main Street; 5 -9 pm
Live entertainment, corn hole tournament, inflatables, food vendors. Firework display begins at 8:30 pm.
FOUNTAIN HILLS – Fourth at the Fountain; 12925 N. Saguaro Blvd; 6 – 10 pm
Music, Kids’ bounce houses and climbing wall; food vendors. Fireworks display over Fountain Lake at 9 pm.
GILBERT – Higley High School; 4068 E. Pecos Rd.; Gilbert; 6 – 9 pm
Bring coolers and lots of water; Music, Beverages and Food trucks will be available; Fireworks begin at 8:30 pm. Check the website for additional viewing locations.
GLENDALE – Westgate Firework Fest; Westgate Entertainment District; 6751 N. Sunset Blvd. 5 – 9:30 pm
Water zone, two music stages and over 20 restaurants to choose from. Fireworks begin at 9 pm.
GOODYEAR – Goodyear Ballpark; 1933 S. Ballpark Way; Goodyear; 6 – 10 pm
Inflatable water slides and bounce houses; Live music; Zipline and Carnival Swing. Fireworks at 9 pm. Admission and parking are free.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – Fireworks over the Lake; Thompson Bay; Lake Havasu City; 9 pm
Best viewing locations:
Rotary Park – 1400 S. Smoketree Blvd; Lake Havasu City; Plenty of free parking, straight view of the fireworks; coolers allowed, no alcohol or pets.
The Nautical Beachfront Resort – 1000 McCulloch Blvd; Lake Havasu City
On the island; plenty of free parking; coolers and outside alcohol not permitted.
London Bridge Beach – 1340 McCulloch Blvd; Lake Havasu City
On the island; free parking; coolers allowed.

LITCHFIELD PARK – Litchfield Park Recreation Center; 100 Old Litchfield Rd; Litchfield; 10 am – 5 pm
Independence Day Pool Party. Entry into the event requires a $2 entry fee or a Recreation Center pass. Activities include water games, kids’ activities, DJ, pool safety information, music, food and lots of family fun!
LITCHFIELD PARK – Blue Course of The Wigwam Golf Course; 300 E. Wigwam Blvd; 6 – 8:30 pm
DJ entertainment; a Kid Zone with bounce houses and waterslides; food and drink options. Unlimited rides and activities wristbands available for purchase for $12. Fireworks at 8:30 pm

1 pm – Great American Tailgate area opens – ticket required. Activities beginning at 5 pm include live music, VIP pool party, games & activities, and Freestyle Motorcross Show. Fireworks 9 pm.

Entry into the event and all activities are FREE

PHOENIX – Steele Indian School Park; 300 E. Indian School Road; Phoenix; 6 – 10 pm
A family-friendly (non-alcoholic) event featuring food and beverage vendors, arts and crafts, and a classic car show. Two stages will showcase international recording artists. A special kid’s area will feature activities, rides, inflatables, and a water spray zone. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 pm.
PHOENIX ZOO – 4th of Zooly; 455 N. Galvin Pkwy; Phoenix; 7 – 10 pm
Catered BBQ dinner, free carousel rides, special animal encounters and live music. At 9 pm, guests will gather at the back of the Zoo to watch the Tempe Town Lake fireworks display. Price $45 adults, $35 children 3-12, free for children 2 and under. Member discounts Not available.

PRESCOTT – Watson Lake; 3127 Watson Lake Park Road; 1 – 9:30 pm
Family-friendly activities including live music, water slides, inflatables, games and activities. There’s also a beer garden for the over-21 crowd, as well as food vendors. The 108th US Army Band will be performing during the fireworks, which begin at 9 pm.

Fireworks Spectacular from 9:15-9:50 pm. Fireworks will be launched from Mill Avenue Bridge and will be choreographed to music. PHOENIX – Arizona Diamondbacks Fireworks Spectacular, Chase Field; 401 E. Jefferson St; 6:10 – 9 pm
Enjoy the D-backs home game against the Colorado Rockies, starting at 6:10 pm, then stick around and watch the fireworks after the game.
